Malpe: The lift of the fishing ban last month saw zealous fishermen back work at Malpe harbour, weighing the big catch and oiling the anchored boats. Approximately, 11,000kg of rani fish is towed per week. However, the haul is not fetching good rates in India. The same fish if exported to the Middle East fetches Rs.200 per kg as compared to Rs.10 per kg in India.
