Carrying forward the hundred- year old tradition, the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt celebrated Krishna Janmashtami(Vittal Pindi) on September 8 and 9. Attracting thousands of people all over the country, the festival celebrations were hosted by Swami Vishwa Vallabha Teertha, the Paryaya Swami (Chief Priest) at the temple. The much adored festivities included Mosoru Kuduke (breaking earthen pots filled with milk items) and Huli Vesha (Tiger dance), among others.
