Malpe: As part of the Udupi Utsav, a two-day beach festival took place at the Malpe beach on January 19 and 20. The beach experienced a huge crowd. Programs were held all throughout the day, which included sand art, dog show, flying kites, various games. The artists in and around Udupi staged a play in the evening. Kids enjoyed the camel rides on beach and the smell of local spices being cooked pulled people towards the food stalls.
