Manipal: Conscendo, an international level management fest was hosted by Department of Commerce(DOC), Manipal University, from January 22-23.
The fest had numerous rounds, where participants were given a fictional situation. There was no preparation time given and they had to act in accordance to the situation. Pravin Kumar, faculty coordinator of the fest remarked, “It was the most successful Conscendo we’ve ever seen since its inception five years ago. The student footfall and the number of participating colleges has also increased with some of the most prestigious and esteemed institutes participating.”
Jain University, Bengaluru was crowned the overall champions of the fest and were felicitated with a cash prize Rs. 30,000 and a trophy. Christ University, Bengaluru and P.E.S. Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, finished second and third respectively.
The fest ended with a cultural event followed by a valedictory function at the Amphitheatre. Prof. Madhav Shanbhag, Director, School of Management and Nauman Khan, the chief guest was in attendance.
“It was an enthralling experience. The true essence of a management fest was witnessed where participants had to undergo rigorous and harsh activities, yet kept their calm to display impeccable leadership skills,” said Nauman Khan, former winner of reality T.V. show, MTV Roadies.
