MANIPAL: The second edition of Manipal International Literature and Arts Platform (M.I.L.A.P.) kick-started with the theme ‘A Millennium Revisited – Tradition and Transformation’ on September 6 at the T.M.A. Pai Halls, Manipal. It was inaugurated by Atamjit Singh, famous playwright, Sahitya Akademi, and Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee, and presided over by Vice Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dr. H Vinod Bhat. The keynote address was delivered by renowned author H.S. Shivaprakash.
The festival will cover everything related to literature and art; from workshops, to talks, to exhibitions, and panel discussions. The first day focussed on Kannada and Marathi in literature and art, including drama, theatre, music, playwriting and so on. The audience received many opportunities to interact with prominent names in the literature, theatre and music industries.
