Manipal: The Registrar of Manipal University (MU) G K Prabhu addressing protesting students at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) quadrangle. He was forced to leave a function at the Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) midway to address these students who were angered by MIT Director Kumkum Garg’s statement that the critical injuries sustained by a student who fell off an overcrowded MIT bus could be blamed on no one but him. The student suffered a brain hemorrage after falling off the campus bus on his way to class. He is now stable.
