In a move that elicited a strong reaction from the student community of Manipal, construction of a “Student Plaza”, a proposed new facility in the Manipal Institute of Technology campus is now underway at Kamath Circle(K.C). The construction is expected to take 18 months and is in connection with Diamond Jubilee celebrations of MIT.
Manipal students, old and new took to social media to react to the news of the famous structure being redeveloped, however MIT Director reassured the students by re-posting pictures of the proposed Student Plaza facility that is set to replace it.
